In 2003 Couturier and designer Maurizio Galante, in partnership with trend forecast analyst and designer Tal Lancman founded the creative studio INTERWARE.
MAURIZIO GALANTE
Maurizio Galante haute couture celebrates a body of work that spans over 30 years of the French couturier and designer’s career. Galante is one of the world’s most respected haute couture fashion designers, having won numerous awards, and in 2008 was appointed Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture in recognition of his contribution to the French fashion industry.
After studying architecture and then fashion at the Accademia della moda e del costume in Rome, Maurizio Galante moved to Paris. Since 2008, he presented his collections as an official member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. His fashion house is part of this closed circle of prestigious Parisian houses who are entitled to this recognized label.
The work of Maurizio Galante can be defined as a perfect balance between sophistication and discretion, rigor and poetry, pace and modernism, tradition and innovation.
His creations, in many areas it addresses, are “objects of desire”, “conversation pieces” destined to elicit emotions. His inspiration and his approach embrace and transfigure traditional craftsmanship in exquisite designs, stylish and contemporary.
Maurizio Galante creations are included in the permanent collections of major international Fashion and Art museums and he has participated in various exhibitions, including the Victoria & Albert museum in London, the Museum of Decorative Arts in the Louvre in Paris, Galliera museum in Paris, Kyoto Fashion Museum, MOMA museum of modern art in New York, Grand Palais in Paris, the Museum of Art and Industry in Saint Etienne, la Triennale museum in Milan, and MUDAM Modern Art Museum in Luxembourg, and Pompidou Centre in Paris.
TAL LANCMAN
Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Tal Lancman is a trend forecast analyst and designer. He has been an editor-creative director for Textile View magazine, the leading industry magazine defining trends in colors, textile, fashion, decoration, and marketing from 1995.
His contribute for the series “Interware” and “The art of living” published in Textile View focus on the transversal approach, emphasizing the meeting point between different disciplines: design, fashion, architecture and art.
Tal Lancman’s broad spectrum of design and consultancy experiences range from companies in the fields of textiles and fashion, to design and beauty. He has acted as artistic director for various projects.
The duo have exhibited their work at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, France. Museo della Ceramica di Montelupo, Italy. Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, Israel, MOMA Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA. MUDAM Museum of Modern Art, Luxembourg; Musée d’Art et d’Industrie of Saint-Etienne, Italy. They have curated design exhibitions in France, Italy, Israel and USA.
