Rémi Portal was born in 1971 in Sainte-Maxime in the Gulf of St Tropez. His residence and studio are in Grimaud. Grandson of Jean Portal, a Maximois painter and sculptor, he has been immersed in his universe since a young age, and his most beautiful statues still adorn the town squares.
